Homage to Lucian Freud. The head of the 'Grey Gelding' Releef was first painted by Lucian Freud in 2003.
Sixteen years later the head of the 'Grey Gelding' Releef is painted once again, this time by Romaine Dennistoun our current artist in residence.
This beautiful piece of art has very kindly been donated to our charity and is now for sale. Interested persons please email [email protected]
Romaine became our artist in residence in 2016.
She follows in the artist footsteps of Lucian Freud who completed several equine master pieces at the Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre.
Romaine is very well known for her drawings from wildlife.
At the Pony Centre she will spend many an hour discretely watching and studying the ponies and riders before producing a beautiful painting.
In 2013 Romaine was winner in the Lucian Freud Equine Art Competition. 'Sioux Has A Visitor'.
Romaine is also an excellent teacher and the children greatly benefit from attending an art class under her direction.
Romaine has also been invited to judge the Riding for the Disabled London Regional Art Competition.
