Are you interested sharing the mission of our charity?

'The Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre provides riding and equine therapy to children and young people. We specialise in those with physical disabilities and special needs'

If yes, please read on, you then may like to take a further step forward.

These are some of the various ways you can be involved.


1. As a supporter, by offering support which will help raise funds for the charity.

This could be by running a fund raising event or by helping to complete a grant funding application form.


2. As a volunteer you can help in several ways.

a. Giving support to a child with special needs. Training will be given.

b. Helping with stable yard duties.

c. Helping with the gardening projects.

d. Handy person to help with minor stable yard repairs.

e. Night stable duties - to volunteer for this task you should live locally to WSPC, be experienced with horses, have a friend who is prepared to help with this task. The task about 30 minutes and is done once a week in between 6pm - 9pm.

Training will be given for any of the volunteering tasks.


3. Accepting a 4 month Internship

This is normally an unpaid internship.

Anyone wishing to apply must have previous equestrian experience and have a desire to learn about the benefits of equine therapy.


4. By becoming a member of the fund raising committee or events committee.


5. By becoming a staff member. There are times when new staff members are required. Applicants will require to have experience in both riding and horse care plus coaching skills.


6. Become a Benefactor. Over the years WSPC has received several generous donations kindly given by benefactors. These donations have enabled the work of our charity to develop and grow and as a result thousands of children have been enriched by attending the Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre.

will pay for stable bedding for 4 months
