On the 25th September 2015 the Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre celebrated its 25th anniversary. Over 200 guest including Loriners', benefactors, supporters, volunteers, parents and children attended the evening. The Pony Centre was also delighted to have His honour Peter Beaumont the Master Loriner, Sam Orde the Chair of Riding for the Disabled Association and Mary Tuckett Chair of Pony Club UK come along to share the celebration. It was a great privilege and major honour to also have Her Royal
Highness the Princess Royal come to the reception. During the evening she presented the new bridles to the eight 'Dancing White Horse' team. These bridles and breast plates were specially made for the display team and given as a gift by the Worshipful Company of Loriners. Following two displays ridden by children and young people with special needs, the Princess Royal presented Loriner medals to each rider. Her Royal Highness also unveiled a commemorative plaque. Following this she met and spoke to many of the guest.
When it was time for HRH to leave many of the children formed a line of honour out to the Royal car. Two of the younger children presented the Princess with a posy and another youngster presented her with a small homemade glass gift.
It was truly a very special celebration and the party food prepared by Isabel was very delicious.
Thank you to all the Loriners' who worked so hard in many different ways to give everyone at the Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre such an incredible and very special reception.
